On-line Petition

Over the summer, a paper version of the Roland Park preservationist petition has been circulating around Roland Park and environs. The petition canvassers have walked door to door all through the August heat gathering signatures. And what a job they have done! However, it is a difficult and time-consuming process and we wish to finish the petition sooner rather than later.

A number of Roland Parkers have asked for an electronic version of the petition to be created, as they have been unable to hook up with our home canvassers.

No sooner asked than done! We will continue to seek petition signatures in person, but we have also started an e-petition for those in the community who have not yet had a chance to sign by hand and for whom an e-signature is faster or more convenient.

Clicking the link to the right will take you to the e-petition. The wording of the petition is identical to that of the paper version. Please review it carefully to be assured that you agree with what it is saying. When you are ready to "sign" the petition, please follow the instructions given on the screen.

You will be required to give your name, e-mail address and street address, though none of these will be shown publicly on line. Optionally, you may also give your neighborhood — e.g., Roland Park or Evergreen — and plat number, if applicable, and your phone number. This information, which again will not be visible in screen, will help us organize our advocacy efforts. (If you are not sure of your plat, please review the map here.)

There is also a "comments" box. Add comments if you like, though please be respectful and concise.

While none of your identifying information will be shown in screen, it will be viewable by the petition administrators at rolandpark.org. By signing the e-petition, you consent to allowing the petition organizers to use your name and, as necessary, other identifying information in the furtherance of their preservationist efforts. Your information may be added to the rolandpark.org e-mail distribution database, but will not be sold to any marketing or other like enterprise.

Okay, ready? Please click the link at right to be taken to the e-petition.
